Job Opening: Talent Scout

Posted by captainmcross - August 1st, 2019

Hello Newgrounds! I haven't posted in a long while but am still hard at work making Pencilmation as well as developing episodes of what will hopefully be a longer form show.

Currently we are looking to hire additional talent scouts to help us scour the internet looking for all the best and up-and-coming artists. We have talent coordinators in place that will do all the communication, so you will not need to actually be reaching out or negotiating with artists yourself. All I am looking for is someone with a great eye for funny and good-looking art, animation, and illustrations that I can pay to spend all day surfing the web and sending us links to great stuff.

I can pay a part-time hourly rate and if it goes well, could potentially offer a full-time position as well. If interested, please send an email to jobs@pencilmation.com with links to a few contemporary animators or artists that you like.

Looking forward to hearing from those who respond!

Ross, I just want to say that I'm happy on your behalf for your apparent success with Pencilmation! I remember watching the first few episodes when I was a kid, but then you stopped and seemingly returned, but it didn't get as popular on Newgrounds as it was before. However, seeing that you have 10-20+ million views on your YouTube videos today makes me happy that you get all the recognition and success that you deserve for your amazingly creative and funny content :) Just wanted to say that -- I love when talent gets recognized ^u^

As for the job listing, I think you'll find a lot of great and funny content here on Newgrounds, and maybe on YouTube as well. I really enjoy your style as it's visually funny and expressive, and silly at the same time, just like the new Mickey Mouse and Donald cartoons -- they remind me of the golden era of Newgrounds animation.
